Nigerian Duo, Godpowers Aniefiok and Akinjide Idowu Pen Two Years Deal In Lithuania With FC Palanga

Date:

Former Nigeria Youth Internationals, Godspower Aniefiok and Akinjide Idowu have signed for a modest side Lithuanian outfit, FC Palanga.

London based Akorede Huthman spoke to www.footballive.ng to confirm FC Palanga’s capture of the two midfielders on a free transfer as the club is looking to retain its Lithuania Premier League status.

Speaking on the move, the London based Agent said, “This is a club that is fighting to remain in the elite league of Lithuania and I am sure both of them will be vital for the team as they look to achieve their aim.”

Godspower Aniefiok was part of the Nigeria team that won the 2016 U-23 AFCON held in Senegal defeat the host in the final while Akinjide Idowu also won the 2013 U-17 World Cup with the Coach Manu Garba led team that featured the likes of Kelechi Iheneacho.

The signing of the duo with the club moves the number of Nigerians in the team to three following an earlier transfer of Lucky Omeruo in August, a move also brokered by Akorede Huthman.
