Nigerian midfielder, Zubairu Abdul who plays for AS Trencin in Slovakia has been linked with a move away from Trencin after consistent impressive performance in the Europa League Qualifiers with several clubs from Belgium, Holland, France and Germany registering an interest the young player.

However a race to win the signature of the highly rated AS Trencin midfielder appears to be over with Greek giants, AEK Athens now considered favorites to sign the 19 years old.

The product of GBS Academy, Bukuru, Jos owned by Ahmed Ibrahim Aka Coach Bros looks certain to complete the move to Greece soon as he is set to arrive the country before the window closes for a routine medical ahead of the prospective move to AEK Athens.

He is presently seen as the engine room of AS Trencin with eye catching passes,excellent ball shielding ability to keep the ball away from opponents and above all good marking ability.

The Slovakian top flight club are set to be already looking to find a replacement for the midfielder from the same GBS Academy which in past and present has produced the likes of Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu, Maduka Udeh Christopher, Aliko Bala, Hillary Gong and Emmanuel Edmund.
