Of the Nigerian trio attached to Chelsea, only Ola Aina travelled with the team to Australia where the 2017-18 FA Cup winner will commence pre-season proper.
Chelsea recently named Maurizio Sarri as replacement for the sacked Antonio Conte and the new Italian Boss has promised to introduce enjoyable football.
His predecessor adopted a more conservative, defensive playing style but Maurizio is think more outside the box of how Chelsea is known to play and the trip to Australia would set the mark for laying that foundation.
However, neither Victor Moses nor Kenneth Omeruo will be on ground in the first days, because they did not travel with the rest of the squad.
Both players had been involved in Nigeria’s World Cup campaign and still had days before their break ends.
On the other hand, Ola Aina did not make the final 23-man squad, though initially named on preliminary list.
The 21-year-old was on loan at Hull City last season and will fancy his chance to impress the new gaffer in the trip Down under.
Chelsea confirmed 25 players travelled for the first game on pre-season, where the Blues will face Perth Glory on Monday at the Optus Stadium.
The squad are due to arrive in Australia in the next few hours! ✈????????
