No reason to press panic button, says Adikwu

Date:

Lobi Stars defender Gabriel Adikwu has stated that the current crops of players in the club are not in a panic mood following the possible arrival of new players as the league champions prepare for the CAF Champions League next season.

Adikwu said that it is customary across the globe that when a team achieve a feat and have a big challenge ahead of them injections of new bloods are required.

The Pride of Benue were recently crowned league champions and will be representing the country in the 2019 CAF Champions League.

“We the players understand the fact that the club will add quality players to beef us Lobi Stars,” Adikwu told Footballlive.ng.

“It’s normal that the team is improved upon as all eyes will be on us to make a good impression on the continent.”

“The CAF Champions League offers us the chance to prove ourselves. We all relish the challenge,” he added.
