Super Falcons Head Coach Thomas Dennerby has named 48 players [ 29 home–based and 19 overseas–based] for the first phase of camping, ahead of next month’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
Dennerby presented a star-studded provisional squad, but no preference will be given his big name players; the likes of Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozie or Francisca Ordega.
The players are expected to resume camp on Thursday 18 October, at the Jubilee Chalets, Epe, Lagos State.
Defending champions, Nigeria qualified for the 11th edition of the AWCON after spanking Gambia; home and away, in their only qualification fixture.
The tournament will be staged in the Ghanaian cities of Accra and Cape Coast cities, 17th November – 1st December 2018.
The Draw for the eight –nation championship has been scheduled for Sunday, 21st October.
