Norwegian league and cup double champions Rosenborg still highly interested in the Nigerian born player Ifeanyi Matthew.
The club has offered about 2 million Euros after as ifeanyi preferred to stay back in his at his struggling Armenian club Lillestrom in the summer.
Rosenborg first tabled the same bid in the summer, but top sources informed footballlive.ng that ifeanyi Matthew chose to stay back to help Lillestrom, his club of two years, to fight off relegation.
The club, who are based close to Oslo, escaped the relegation on the final day of the season with the 2014 CHAN Eagles star again playing from to finish of his team’s 30 league matches.
Last season, the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star also played every minute of Lillestrom 30 league games and netted four goals.
Lillestrom also want to sell the creative midfielder and that was why in the last winter transfer window they signed former Lobi Stars and Plateau United ace Raphael Ayangwa as his direct replacement.
The 21 years old midfielder , still has two years left on his contract at Lillestrom, who have battled against relegation in the past three seasons.
