NPFL: Mubarak Said outlines MFM’s ambition

Date:

Mubarak Said has outlined MFM FC’s responsibility in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season and to feed the optimism that surrounds them at the moment.

A determined MFM team fought from two goals down to defeat Niger Tornadoes 3-2 at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.

The winger has made clear the responsibility for his team in the 2018/19 NPFL campaign.

“We must have ambition that never ends, because it is something that appeals to us,” began Mubarak Said to Footballlive.ng.

“We must be prudent to handle the current state of optimism at all levels and with the fans. That ambition is what everyone wants to see, winning and playing well.

“We know the difficulty posed by the competition and so we have to be united.

“The club has shown faith with a bunch of young players and the fans have responded. Now we have to continue to give our best, which is what will earn us the support of everyone.”

The Olukoya Boys are on top of the NPFL Group A log with 15 points from seven games.

“We have fought hard to be here and we must stay on top. Now we cannot let the chance go and we have to fight against any opponent, but remain cautious with respect to that opponent.

“I know that any team can cause you difficulties. We have to keep that in mind, aware that we must translate our superiority across the games.

“There are no excuses, the idea is to play to win and to satisfy the fans, because there are also many new players who want to demonstrate themselves.”
