Nura Abdullahi Moves To Perugia On Loan

AS Roma of Italy defender, Nura Abdullahi has sealed a move to lower division side, Perugia on loan till end of the season.

Abdullahi becomes the next Nigerian player, after former Super Eagles midfielder, Christian Ndubuisi Ogbodo to star for Perugia, and the Italian Serie B club gleefully confirmed his arrival on Wednesday.

Perugia announced that they had achieved the loan signing of the promising Nigerian right-back after reaching an agreement with Roma.

The Football College Abuja product has penned a two-year loan deal with with option and counter-option inserted into the contract.

The 20-year-old has yet to debut for the first team of Roma but has made the match day squads for Serie A fixtures eleven times across three seasons.

To improve his chances of playing on a regular basis, the Giallorossi have decided it was best to loan him out to a club in level two in the football pyramid.

A goal-scoring defender, Abdullahi, is likened to former Brazil captain, Cafu by his minders, has netted 13 goals in total from 48 appearances in the Primavera for Spezia and Roma..
