After convening for a virtual emergency meeting on Thursday, the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) has issued a clarion call for an enhancement in the officiating of games.
Recognizing the imperative for an elevated standard, the NWFL emphasized the necessity for concerted efforts to raise the bar higher than ever before.
Additionally, the women’s football body resolved to enlist the support of match officials committees to bolster the quality of officiating.
Expressing confidence in the board’s achievements thus far, the congress also reiterated its commitment to realizing the Women’s Football Rising strategy. Notable attendees at the meeting included NWFL Chairperson Nkechi Obi, Vice Chairman Hajiya Husaina Suleiman, along with various club representatives and key stakeholders.
As the 2024 NWFL season progresses into Week 11, Heartland Queens and Bayelsa Queens currently lead the Group A and B tables, respectively.
