FC Zurich of Switzerland striker, Stephen Odey says he is very happy netting the only goal that gave his team victory against fellow-Nigerian, Blessing Eleke’s FC Luzern.
After netting the lone goal in Zurich’s victory on Sunday, Odey said he was excited to make such an impact with his side and expressed hope that more of such will come.
Reports gathered by footballlive.ng revealed further that the 20-year-old former Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry (MFM) FC of Lagos youngster was equally excited that his side picked maximum points in what he called a crucial Swiss Super League fixture for the team.
Odey took to social media after he scored the lone goal winner for FC Zurich, whose coach handed a start after impressing in their Europa League tie against AEK Larnaca of Greece, which they also won 1-0 on Thursday.
He struck with a smart finish in the 55th minute and it ended up as the winner with the three points moving his team to seventh position on the Swiss table, after six rounds of games.
It was Odey’s second for the Zurich-based side, which he joined in January 2017 and the lad, who got his first goal against FC Grasshopper on July 28, has now equaled his last season haul.
