Rivers United gaffer, Evans Ogenyi has expressed his optimism ahead of their FA cup clash against Niger Tornadoes. The port Harcourt won 3-2 against Niger over the weekend in the league and are now facing them again in the cup on Wednesday.
Ogenyi said there will be a different game in the cup clash, as some players had been rested and hinted at some disadvantages from the opposition side.
“They will see a different ball game on that day. We have rested some key players. Some would be coming in after accumulated yellow cards”, he said.
He spoke further about a meething with his technical team for a game plan, and also the expectations going into the game.
“I won’t mention, but I tell you I’m going into a meeting with my technical crew members to see how we can also maybe draw a very good team. The match is Wednesday. We know what is at stake. It’s so symbolic that we have beaten them here and then we are expected to beat them on that neutral ground in Benin”.
