Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu (Suker) will wear a new brand of boots from his kit sponsor, Adidas, for the first match of the new season in The Land of Milk & Honey.
Ogu will now enter Be’er Sheva’s opening fixture away to Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona at Kiryat-Shmona Municipal Stadium in high spirit and added comfort from his new boots.
This comes after the towering former Académica de Coimbra of Portugal and Malaga of Spain midfielder sealed a contract extension with the German kit firm, Adidas.
Ogu showcased his new boots with a broad smile, after sealing the deal that will see him continue to use the adidas brand for another two years.
Ogu, who won the Israeli Premier League title last season, described his extended deal with Adidas as another boost for him ahead of the new season kick-off on Saturday
He was one of the star performers, as Be’er Sheva finished first securing 57 points in 26 matches and is seeking another impressive performance this season with the club that sold his fellow-Nigerian, Anthony Nwakaeme to Trabzonspor of Turkey at the weekend.
”Buzzing with adidas for another two years,” stated Ogu, who has been with the club since 2014, during which time he has made over 127 appearances and has 12 goals.
