Ola Aina Excels In 90 Minutes Serie A Action

Date:

AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina got 90 minutes of action with his club on Thursday night, as footballlive.ng reports that the lad on loan from Chelsea showed the biggest signs of full recovery from a recent injury.

Although medics at his Turin-based Serie A side felt Aina is not yet fit enough to last the distance, the Super Eagles star proved them wrong by putting up a sterling performance to state his complete recovery from a knock that kept him out for three weeks.
It is also a good sign for Aina, heading into the next international break, as he is expected to get a call up to the Eagles for their double-fixture Africa Cup of Nations fixtures against Libya on October 13 and 16.
Aina has already equaled his total appearances with Chelsea since turning professional in 2016.
He has qucikly settled down to life in Italy and has worked his way into a regular spot at Torino, who had fellow-Nigerian international, Joel Chukwuma Obi on their cards last season.
Aina was hurried into league action for Torino against AS Roma, due to an injury picked up by one of their defenders, and he has since held his spot in the team.
He played 68 minutes in the 2-2 draw against Inter Milan before getting 86 minutes against SPAL, in a game his side won 3-0.
Following the injury that kept him out of international duty with Nigeria, he returned to play 15 minutes for Torino in a 1-1 draw against Udinese.
However, after the 21-year-old was only fit enough for 77 minutes in the 1-3 loss against Napoli, he played his first full game on Friday, and posted an impressive performance in the stalemate against Atalanta.
