AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina has disclosed that he is relishing his early days at the Serie A club, as footballlive.ng reports that he has settled down pretty fast.
After starring in every game the team has played so far this season, Aina, who is on loan from Chelsea, says he is enjoying the team bonding, training and matches at his new base.
While acknowledging that the standard in Serie A is higher than what he experienced during his days on loan at Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Championship, Aina said he is happy that he is coping just fine.
Aina snubbed many offers in England’s lower division to join Torino on loan, and the 22-year-old says he is enjoying his time in Italy.
The former England youth international has sealed a place in Torino’s starting line up and, although he admits language is still a barrier for him in Italy, he is determined to keep improving.
With that in mind, Aina says he is also enjoying playing each match for the Turin-based side, coupled with the high demands of picking points against quality teams.
Aina disclosed: “I’m enjoying training and the games, all the challenges. I’m settling in just fine. The difference is a lot.
“The level is a lot higher, the concentration and tactical side of things are a lot higher than the Championship.
“For me, that is what is key for me this season. Right now, the squad are just focusing on each other, and to take each match as it comes.
“We want to play good football and get as much points as possible and win games. So if we can focus on this, then who knows.”
