Players Abroad Olayinka Crash Out of UCL with Crvena zvezda By: Joseph Obisesan Date: November 8, 2023 Peter Olayinka made a cameo appearance in Crvena zvezda’s home loss against RB Leipzig in their UEFA Champions League matchday 4 encounter. Olayinka came into action in the second half and played for 26 minutes, however, could not do much for the team. The Summer arrival was introduced with his team a goal down in the encounter, but RB Leipzig extended their lead through Lois Openda. However, the lead was cut short when Benjamin Henrichs turned the ball into his own net. Crvena zvezda have now suffered a first round elimination from the Champions League, but also risk losing the Europa League spot. They would be hoping to beat Young Boys in the reverse fixture to ensure passage into the Europa League knock out round.
