Omeruo helps Leganes pick second away point of the season.

Date:

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was in the heart of the Leganes defense as his team got their second away point of the season in a goalless draw against Girona in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday night.

Omeruo made his fourth start of the season for the los Pepineros as they got a deserved point from the encounter but are still in the red hot relegation zone.

Since making his first start for the club, Leganes have not lost an away game in four matches and will next play Alaves at home after the international break on Friday November 23rd.

Omeruo joined Leganes on loan from English Premier League side Chelsea on a season long contract. The Super Eagles star will be available for the 2019 AFCON qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg.

The rock solid defender will be hoping his form will help steer Leganes out of the relegation waters.
