FC Minsk of Belarus central defender, Onome Ebi is flaunting her recent appointment as a brand ambassador by a drinks making company, as she believes the role will accord her more relevance in the spotlight.
Although Ebi stopped short of highlighting terms of the epoch-making agreement, footballlive.ng learnt that she is relishing every bit of the deal, which takes her into the clime of Nigerian female football stars getting corporate endorsements.
Indeed, the Super Falcons’ alternate captain takes after Dalian Quanjian of China attacker, Asisat Oshoala, who has a deal with a cable television channel and runs a charity foundation in Lagos.
The 35-year-old Onome, who is among 20 players selected for the Falcons’ squad to a four-nation competition that runs from Thursday to Sunday in China, said she is glad to be the face of Capritzer Ruby drinks.
Ebi, who has featured 51 times for Falcons and won four Africa Women Cup of Nations titles, took to social media to reveal her delight.
The fair-skinned stopper stated with a relish: “I’m delighted to be the first female sports brand ambassador for @produceextract.
“There’s always a reason to celebrate. #Capritizer #Ruby #PEL #Winandcelebrate.”
