FC Midtjylland of Denmark attacker, Paul Onuachu has declared delight with his club’s ascent to second position on the Scandinavian country’s top-flight table, following another victory at the start of this week.
Footballlive.ng reports that Onuachu hit his 15th goal in all competitions so far this season, as they beat Aalborg 2-1 at MCH Arena, but the young forward says the bigger delight for him is seeing his side climb tp second position in the Danish Superligaen.
Following the week 22 encounter on Monday, Midtjylland are second in the title race, with three points, and now only behind FC Copenhagen on the log, much to the relish of the 24-year-old Onuachu.
He made his latest mark for The Black Wolves in the 45th minute of the clash on Monday, making it his 12 bull’s eye in the domestic league.
Onuachu, who also has two goals in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa League and one in the Danish Cup (Sydbank Pokalen), also has five assists to his name.
Although Onuachu was later replaced by Mayron George in the fixture, the FC Ebedei of Shagamu product believes he need to rest and is ready to romp back stronger in their next game.
Onuachu stated on social media: “I am happy to score and to see FCM climb to second in the Superligaen. We’ll continue getting better.”
