In a thrilling encounter at the Akyazi Stadium, Trabzonspor emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Gaziantep in an action-packed Turkish Super Lig clash.
The visitors, Gaziantep, took an early lead when Deian Sorescu found the back of the net in the 12th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Salem M’Bakata to give his side the advantage. Their momentum continued as Denis Drǎgus doubled the lead in the 21st minute, with Sorescu returning the favor, providing the assist to extend Gaziantep’s lead to 2-0.
However, Trabzonspor refused to concede defeat and mounted a spirited comeback in the second half. The fightback began in the 50th minute when Paul Onuachu pulled one back for Trabzonspor, converting an assist from Edin Visca to narrow the deficit to 2-1.
The home side continued to press forward, and their efforts were rewarded in the 65th minute when Enis Bardhi found the back of the net to level the score at 2-2, courtesy of an assist from Onuachu.
Trabzonspor completed their remarkable turnaround just minutes later, as Onuachu once again made his presence felt, scoring two quick goals in the 66th and 68th minutes to complete his hat-trick and secure a commanding lead for his team. The goals were assisted by Edin Visca and Mahmoud Trezeguet respectively.
With the final whistle blowing shortly after, Trabzonspor emerged triumphant with a 4-2 victory, showcasing their resilience and determination to secure all three points.
