Fenerbaçe ended their season on a high note, thrashing Istanbulspor 6-0 in a dominant display at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
The rout began early, with Edin Dzeko opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 8th minute after Serdar Dursun was fouled in the box. Just seven minutes later, Sebastian Szymański made it 2-0, setting the tone for Fenerbaçe’s offensive onslaught.
Dusan Tadic extended the lead to 3-0 in the 35th minute, thanks to a well-timed assist from Serdar Dursun. The first half ended with Fenerbaçe comfortably in control.
In the second half, the home side continued to press their advantage. Bright Osayi-Samuel added a fourth goal in the 66th minute, assisted by Dusan Tadic. Serdar Dursun, who had been instrumental throughout the match, got on the scoresheet himself in the 76th minute to make it 5-0.
Just two minutes later, Joshua King completed the rout, netting Fenerbaçe’s sixth goal and capping off a stellar performance by the team.
With this emphatic victory, Fenerbaçe conclude the season with 99 points, securing second place in the league, just three points behind champions Galatasaray.
For Istanbulspor, the match was a somber end to a difficult season. Relegated several weeks prior, they finish with just 16 points and will need to regroup as they prepare for life in the lower division.
