Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr  has said that he’s monitoring the performance of the Wolfsburg loanee with a view to handing him a call up for the AFCON qualifier against South Africa and the German would be impressed by the player’s rich vein of form.

Victor Osimhen is making a strong case to be invited to the Super Eagles for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg in three weeks time after finding the net in his team’s 2-1 loss to Gent in the Belgian First Division A on Friday.
His goal against Gent took his tally to six goals from his last six appearances in all competitions.
The Sporting Charleroi striker equalized for his team when his deflected shot from distance could not be saved by goalkeeper Penneteau in the 42nd minute.
Chakvetadze put the home team ahead in the 36th minute and grabbed what proved to be the winner two minutes after the restart.
Osimhen was on target against Waasland-Beveren, Eendracht Aalst, Cercle Brugge, Zulte-Waregem (2) and Gent.
Osimhen and Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti played the full game, Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi came on with nine minutes left to play.
