Paris 2024: Nigeria, South Africa Clash in April

Date:

Nigeria women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, is gearing up to face off against African champions, South Africa, in the first-leg of their Women’s Olympic Football Event final qualifying fixture.

The match is scheduled to take place at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday, April 5th.

Following the initial encounter, the action will shift to South African soil for the return leg on Tuesday, April 9th.

With the stakes incredibly high, the winner across two legs in April will secure the ticket to represent Africa at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Notably, it has been 16 years since the Super Falcons last graced the Olympic stage, making this qualification campaign all the more significant for Nigerian football enthusiasts.

The Falcons edged Cameroon in previous round while the Banyana Banyana got the better of Tanzania.
