Paris2024: Super Falcons were Unlucky – Desire Oparanozie

Date:

Former Super Falcons striker, Desire Oparanozie, has advised the team to concentrate on their remaining group matches after their 1-0 loss to Brazil in their opening game at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Oparanozie believes the team played well but were unfortunate to lose. She emphasized the importance of staying focused and giving their all in the next game to improve their chances of advancing from the group stage.

She said, “The team had a good game but were unlucky to have lost to Brazil. They need to play their hearts out in the next game to boost their chances of staying beyond the group stage.”

The Super Falcons will face the defending champions next, who earlier defeated Japan 2-1. Currently, Spain and Brazil lead Group B with 3 points each, while Japan and Nigeria have no points.

The upcoming matches will be crucial for the Super Falcons as they aim to secure a spot in the knockout stages.
