Ifeanyi George was definitely happy to grab his first goal for Rangers International in the 2018 AITEO Cup Group Stage first match describing it as a big plus for his career as he spoke to footballive ahead of the second group stage match against Supreme Court FC.
He told www.footballive.ng, “I pray it continues like this for me. I have done this in the NPFL and now I got my first goal in the AITEO Cup so I can only continue to strive hard to ensure I keep this going.”
George said the match against El-Kanemi Warriors was a tough game even as he praised the quality of the team from Borno who he said were a wonderful team with several talented players who are capable of winning any match.
“Topping the group right now is a good start for us but we are taking it one step at a time and I am confident that we will make it to the next stage because I believe we will get it right against Supreme Court FC in our second game.” He concluded.
