Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has hinted that his side will play at least there build-up matches ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Although the Franco-German coach ealier said the team might play five matches before AFCON 2019, footballlive.ng can report that three games may now appear more feasible for him.
This is sequel to a declaration by Rohr that he hopes his team will play at least three friendlies ahead of AFCON 2019, while affirming that the last qualifier against Seychelles will also be part of his build-up programme.
Rohr, who has already picked Uyo as the Eagles’ training base for AFCON, said he hopes that match will hold at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to kick-start his countdown to the continental showpiece.
Rohr said: “Besides the match against Seychelles in March, we hope to play three more friendlies – one in March and some at the end of May.”
