AS Roma of Italy striker, Sadiq Umar says he is happy to seal a loan deal at lower division side, Perugia, following his recent return from a rather turbulent spell at Glasgow Rangers of Scotland.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Sadiq, who has already been replaced by Jermaine Defoe at Rangers, will now complete the remaining part of the season with another loan deal at Christian Obodo’s former club.
The Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medalist with Nigeria’s under-23 squad is also looking forward to a better impact with Perugia than he had with Rangers, following a spirit campaign at NAC Breda of Holland.
Sadiq joined Rangers on loan from Roma last summer but deal was cut short due to lack of playing time.
At Rangers, Sadiq played only five matches, mostly as a substitute and he was surplus to requirements at the Scottish Premiership side handled by Liverpool legend, Steven Gerard.
Though Sadiq joined Roma in 2015, he has failed to establish himself as a regular for the Serie A club, who have now opted to loan him to Perugia in the Italian second division to help revive his career.
