Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist, Sadiq Umar has admitted he is in the hunt for a new club, but says he will not rush any offer that comes his way in the January transfer window.
Following his stillborn spell on loan from AS Roma to Glasgow Rangers of Scotland, footballlive.ng can report that Umar is picking up the pieces and says he will use the experience he gained to make his career better.
However, while Perugia of Italy are now said to be interested in taking him on loan from Roma, Umar insists he will only join a club that can guarantee him regular playing time in the second half of the season.
The Kaduna-born lanky lad struggled to impress Rangers’ coach, Steven Gerrard at Ibrox Stadium since he arrived from Roma in July and his poor form occasioned a return to Stadio Olimpico prematurely this month.
During his time in Scotland, Umar featured in just five matches for The Gers, including a League Cup semi-final tie against Aberdeen and a keep-fit appearance for the under-21 team.
