Bolton Wanderers of England winger, Sammy Ameobi has declared that he wants to score more goals with The Trotters this season, as he aims to go beyond the paltry haul he achieved last term.
Following his breath-taking form and goal in Bolton’s pre-season game last weekend, the younger brother of former Super Eagles striker, Shola Ameobi said he hopes to improve for the English Championship side, with which he scored only four goals in 35 games last season.
Ameobi said he is already aiming big with Bolton in the new season, after he scored the winner in a 2-1 win over Halifax at the weekend.
The 26-year-old former Newcastle United forward, who got the winner against Halifax in the 58th minute, added a word of hopes that Bolton will also do better in the season.
Ameobi declared emphatically: “Scoring goals and creating goals are what I am looking forward to. Hopefully I can build on this; it’s going to be a tough season.
“We have to work on our fitness and get ready for the start of the season. We played with good intensity. I want to be more consistent this season.”
