Samuel Kalu, Onyekuru, Nwakaeme, Aminu Umar in Sunday goal rush across Europe

Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu was in the starting lineup for Bordeaux against Amiens in the French League 1. The creative winger scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute of the encounter but their lead was short lived as Eddy Gnahore equalized for the away side in the 32nd minute.

In Turkey Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru was instrumental in Galatasaray’s 4 – 2 win over Siversspor in the Turkish Super Ligue on Sunday scoring a brace in the encounter.

 

Onyekuru scored Galatasaray’s third and fourth goal in the 51st and 69th minute to take the game out of the reach of the visitors after former Brazilian star Robinho had scored twice to make the game 2 – 2 at half time.

 

Still in Turkey, Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme scored for Trabzonspor in a 4 – 1 demolition of Rizespor. Nwakaeme scored the fourth and final goal for Trabzonspor in a five star performance in the 90th minute. Nwakaeme also assisted Hugo Rodallega for the team’s third goal in the 79th minute.

 

Nwakaeme’s compatriot Ogenyi Onazi also started the game but was substituted off in the 32nd minute for Juraj Kucka. Rizespor’s consolation goal was scored by Eagles winger Umar Aminu in the 84th minute.

 

Nigerian international Seth sincere was an unused substitute as Yeni Malatyarspor played out a 1 – 1 draw with Bursaspor in the Turkish Super Ligue.

 

In Belgium, Victor Osimhen’s assist for Christian Benavente in the 42nd minute was not enough to hand Sporting Charleroi a point as they fell 3 – 1 to Zulte-Waregem. The Nigerian international was on for 90 minutes in the encounter.

 

In Germany, Super Eagles left back Jamilu Colins was in action as SC Paderborn thrashed SV Darmstadt 98 6 – 2 in a thrilling encounter. The Nigerian international who played all 90 minutes for the Bundesliga 2 side was cautioned in the 41st minute of the match.

 

In Spain, Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was in action for Leganes as they played out a 1 – 1 draw against Sevilla in the La Liga Santander and continued their unbeaten run in nine games.

 

Nigerian winger Moses Simon was a 78 minute substitute in Levante’s 2 – 1 loss away to Rayo Vallecano in the La Liga Santander on Sunday. The former Gent of Belgium star came on for Enis Bardhi.
