Nigeria forward Ibrahim Shuaibu says he’s not surprised with his impressive form for Kongsvinger after scoring in their 2-1 win over Jerv on Sunday.
The all action striker powered home the winner for his side in the 90th minute at the J. J. Ugland Stadion – Levermyr.
The 21-year-old has simply been unstoppable since joining Kongsvinger on a season long loan from Haugesund.
But the ex-Giwa FC forward says he’s focused on his game and not getting swollen-headed with the plaudits.
“I am very happy not because I scored but my team has three points,” Shuaibu told Footballlive.ng.
“We wanted to win at all cost and I’m happy we managed to get the needed goals.
“We’re looking ahead to the rest of the matches. We want to gain promotion to the top division.”
Shuaibu’s performance is well-documented having netted 14 goals in the Norwegian OBOS Ligaen this term.
