Crotone of Italy striker, Simeon Tochukwu Nwanwko (Simy) will have to start reeling out crucial classified information about his club mate, Ahmad Benali, as the Libyan attack  has been touted as the man to stop Nigeria in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations double qualifiers.
Heading into home and away matches against the Super Eagles on October 12 and 16, Benali has suddenly hit top form, and footballlive.ng can report that he took his relevance to another level just this week.
Information out of Italy indicates that Benali warned Nigeria by scoring a spectacular goal for Crotone in a 2-1 loss to Pescara on Tuesday.
Benali hit target in spectacular fashion against a side he played for across three years before joining Crotone in the 2017-2018 season.
While the central midfielder went the distance against Pescara, ‘Simy’ was introduced as a substitute three minutes from time.
Before moving to Italy, Benali captained Manchester City’s youth squad and played for England’s U17 national team ahead of switching national team allegiance to Libya.
The former Man City trainee featured in headlines of the Italian press after his 49th minute goal in the fifth round of matches in the Serie B.
