Once again Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were involved in goals to ensure Leicester City’s win in the Championship, on Saturday.
Iheanacho scored the opening goal and Ndidi provided the assist for Leicester’s second goal in the 2-0 victory against Stoke City.
In the midweek game against Preston North End, the duo also contributed in no small terms to the 3-0 win that saw the Foxes leap to the top of the standings in the division.
This season Iheanacho has 4 goals and 1 assist in 11 league appearances, while Ndidi has contributed 3 assists and 1 goal to the team’s promotion charge.
Leicester have only dropped points once this season, with an impressive run of 10 wins and 1 defeat.
It is their best start to a league season and Enzo Maresca described how he intends to keep the momentum going – squad rotation.
“You have to do it because there’s 46 games, it’s a long season,” Maresca said after the game.
“We’ve played many games in the last 10-15 days and you need to make changes. Sometimes it’s good because you win, sometimes it doesn’t work and you drop points.
