Super Eagles Defender joins Libyan Champions Al-Nasr

Libya Premier League champions, Al-Nasr SC have signed Nigerian center-half Azubuike Egwuekwe as they build up for a title defence and campaign on the continent.

Egwuekwe who has experience playing in CAF competitions during his time at Warri Wolves penned a two-year deal and is eager to help the Benghazi club achieve more.

 

The center-back was a member of Nigeria’s 2013 Afcon winning squad and a key member of the team that finished third at the 2014 African Nations Championship.

 

He later joined Finnish side KuPS, before returning to the continent where he signed for SuperSport United.

 

“I am happy to join my new club. I am delighted and my target is to do well with the team, help my club win more trophies,” Egwuekwe was quoted by ScoreNigeria.com.ng
