Nigeria’s Super Falcons will play host France, Norway and Korea Republic in group A of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France in the draws that took place today.
The African champions had been condemned to have a difficult and tricky group after they were placed in pot 4 ahead of the draws based on their latest ranking.
Nigeria’s continental counterparts South Africa have been placed in group B which has been termed as the group of death and will face Germany, emerging women football powerhouse Spain and China.
Africa’s final contingent Cameroon will play Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands in Group E.
With Nigeria’s opponents already known ahead of the World Cup, preparations will begin in earnest so as to ensure a successful outing in France.
