Team coordinator of the Super Eagles raises alarm on poor Stade Linite pitch

Date:

Team coordinator of the Super Eagles, Patrick Pascal has expressed phobia on the state of the Stade Linite synthetic pitch that the three-time African champions will play on Saturday.

The Eagles of Nigeria will face Seychelles in a Group E match of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday afternoon.
Kickoff is 1:30pm Nigerian Time.
The ex international while speaking to Footballlive.ng noted that it’s always difficult to play in a synthetic pitch, even as he believes that could be responsible for the reason some players pulled out of the make or mar game.
“The condition of the pitch isn’t really suitable for football. Our players are used to natural turf not the artificial pitch,” Pascal stated in a chat with Footballlive.ng.
“Maybe this might have led to some of our players pulling out of the game.”
“We must not be distracted despite the condition of the pitch and concentrate on scoring goals and winning the game convincingly,” he noted.
