Tomori Celebrates ‘Unbelievable’ Victory Against Man U

Date:

Derby County defender, Fikayo Tomori is still celebrating what he tagged an ‘unbelievable’ victory against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, and hopes more of such nights will contionue for The Rams.

Tomori, who is on loan at Frank Lampard’s Derby from Chelsea, said he was happy to play a part in his side’s historic win of Tuesday night, for which footballlive.ng can report he also gave all his teammates top marks for an astonishing perfomance by the squad.

The Nigerian-born England youth international stressed that such nights do not come often, which makes him twice as excited with the feat, as his side moved into the fourth round 8-7 on penalties at Old Trafford.

Tomorri, who can play as a full back on both sides and central defender, was impressive for The Rams against The Red Devils, as he played a key role in stopping United’s attackers.
In particular, Tomori did a good job curtail the ambitions of Belgian ace, Romelu Lukaku.

Tomori, who has helped Derby keep five clean-sheets in 11 games this season, posted: ”These are the nights you play football for!! What a win and performance from the boys!
”To play the way we did at Old Trafford isn’t easy and to keep our composure after conceding early and late was unbelievable! NEXT ROUND BABY. ”
