The early arrivals at the Super Eagles’ camp in Uyo wee Udinese of Italy defender, William Troost-Ekong and Watford of England striker, Isaac Success, as both players appeared to have engaged in a race to see who makes it there first.
Footballlive.ng learnt that Troost-Ekong flew in from Abuja and landed at Akwa Ibom Airport on Monday morning, at about the same time Success stormed in.
Incidentally, though born in Holland, Troost-Ekong’s father hails from Akwa Ibom State, and the defender is thinking big of motivations to sink The Mediterranean Knights at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Troost-Ekong and Success were shown the way into the Eagles’ camp by the head coach, Gernot Rohr, who arrived earlier at Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, after taking the first flight out of Lagos.
Chippa United of South Africa goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, who landed in Lagos on Sunday night, had a stopover in Port Harcourt on his way to the Eagles’ camp.
