U-20 AFCON: We are mentally and physically ready to beat Nigeria – Mali coach

Head coach of Mali’s U-20 national team Mamoutou Kane has stated that his team is mentally prepared ahead of their semi final CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations match against Nigeria’s Flying Eagles at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in Niamy on Wednesday by 4:30 pm.

Mali booked a semi final ticket after beating West African football powerhouse Ghana in the final group B match to book their ticket to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland and also a semi final ticket to face Nigeria who finished first in Group A.
Ahead of the encounter Mamoutou Kané whose team have only been able to score just twice at the tournament said the coaches have worked with the players on that department and expects his players to show more grit and determination in front of goal when they square up against the  eight time champions.
Kane has also states that the the game will be difficult but they are prepared to be strong mentally and physically. “We’re preparing for this semifinal with a lot of concentration because it is a match that looks difficult and it will need us to be mentally and physically ready. We’re working on it and I hope we will succeed.”
The winner of the first semi final fixture will face either South Africa’s Amajitas or Senegal in the final of the competition to be played at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in Niamy on Sunday February 17.
