Dundee United have announced the signing of Nigerian winger, Meshack Ubochioma. The 22-year-old joins the Scottish side, after leaving Hungarian Side, Zalaegerszegi TE in the Hungarian top flight league. He joins on a two-year contract, with the option of an extra year.
Meshack started his career in Nigeria, before moving to France after earning a trial with Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint Germain. He, however secured a move to Hungary with Zalaegerszegi in 2020. He was on loan to Slovenia, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances with NK Nafta.
He then returned to Hungary, and won the Magyar Kupa with his parent club. He played two seasons in the Hungarian top division, and is now set to continue his career in Scotland.
Dundee announced the Nigerian via an official statement on the club’s website, and a post on social media. Meshack has also expressed himself after being unveiled, defining as the next step in his career, adding this was the chance to make said step.
