UEFA Slams Scotland Defender Two Games Ban at EURO 2024

UEFA has handed Scotland defender Ryan Porteous a two-game suspension following his red card in the EURO 2024 match against Germany.

The incident, which occurred in the 45th minute, was classified as ‘serious rough play’ after Porteous fouled Germany’s İlkay Gündoğan, resulting in a penalty which was converted by Kai Havertz, contributing to Scotland’s 5-1 defeat​.

The Watford player for has been a crucial part of Scotland’s defense. This suspension will see him miss Scotland’s next two group stage matches.
