Video Assistant Referee (VAR) has been confirmed for Saturday’s match between the Super Eagles and England, as two officials have been named to man the playback technology system during the game at Wembley Stadium, London.
An Italian match official, Michael Fabbri will be the game’s video assistant referee, to be aided by his compatriot, Giulio Dobosz, as second video assistant referee.
Guido, 36, is a Serie A referee, who has also handled UEFA Europa League matches and international games, and refereed England’s 1-0 win over Portugal during a similar friendly in 2016.
The centre referee for Saturday’s match at The Home of Football is another Italian, Marco Guida, who will be assisted by compatriots Riccardo Di Fiore and Alessandro Giallatini (assistant referees) and Davide Massa (fourth official).
The match, which is the penultimate pre-World Cup friendly for both teams before their first matches in Russia, will start at 5.15pm UK time.
