Wilfred Ndidi has been named in the African team of the year for 2018, and was the only Nigerian that made the list, as per France Football.
Ndidi was a constant feature for Leicester City last year and the midfielder was also a member of Nigeria’s team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
France Football considered the top performing African players across Europe including those in Turkey and came up with a list that includes the Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as well as Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez.
Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Atletico Madrid midfield engine Thomas Partey were named in the Best XI of the french news outlet responsible for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.
The players were selected in a 4-4-3 formation.
