Real recognizes Real when it’s spotted and from one of England’s greatest ever goalscorers – if not the greatest – Alan Shearer has described Lionel Messi as the best ever to play the game after the Argentine’s masterclass display against Tottenham in the UCL on Wednesday in side Wembley Stadium.
Messi played the perfect symphony in Barcelona’s 4-2 victory and once again hugged the headlines on a night of special goals across Europe , courting admiration from even Shearer.
The former England international did not spare his fellow Englishman, Harry Kane a minute although he got a goal in the keenly contested game.

So far, the Argentine has scored five goals in two UCL matches and helped Barca remain in the summit of Group B with two successive wins.
He scored a perfect 10 rating, per whoscored.com; outclassing every player on the pitch, and even won more tackles than Gerard Pique, Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier.
