Coach Kabiru Dogo was left delighted with Nasarawa United’s win over Standard FC, which saw the Solid Miners progress to the round 16 of the Aiteo Cup.
Dogo’s side picked up a 3-0 victory on Saturday and qualified for the group stage of the tourney.
“What really matters is the victory which is what you can earn at this stage,” reflected Dogo to Footballlive.ng after the game.
“I am excited by three things – first by winning against a team of young players, we took our chances and dominated possession.
“The team really showed up at the time and deservedly scored great goals. We are still moving ahead in games, and that’s good, we were more relaxed.
“We are happy because we are though to the next stage and kept a clean sheet against a great team.”
