Many of our players distinguished themselves and showed enough quality to be selected.

Here is the XI compiled by Ademetan Abayomi;

Francis Uzoho [Elche]

The young goalkeeper proved his mettle with important saves for Elche against Real Zaragoza. He capped it all with a clean sheet.

Musa Muhammed [Gorica]

Musa Muhammed offered option to his teammates when overlapping in the 3-1 win at Inter Zapresic. He was very dangerous down the flank.

Godswill Ekpolo [Haecken]

The Barcelona B product bumped forward at every opportunity in Haecken’s 6-0 whitewash of Dalkurd.

Brian Idowu [Lokomotive Moscow]

Idowu performed very well in defence and linked up perfectly with his teammates.

Semi Ajayi [Rotherham United]

Semi Ajayi has come to stay in the Super Eagles squad. He showed why he is highly rated in the ranks of Rotherham United with a fantastic performance against Preston North End.

Wilfred Ndidi [Leicester City]

One of the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League. Ndidi showed his importance to the Foxes with an excellent show and a timely equaliser in the explosive game at home to West Ham United.

John Obi Mikel [Tianjin Teda]

The Super Eagles skipper orchestrated most of the positive moves by Tianjin Teda who lost 4-2 to Shanghai Shenhua. The former Chelsea star also found the back of the net for his team.

Alex Iwobi [Arsenal]

There is nothing denying the fact that Alex Iwobi is in the form of his life. He showed why Unai Emery trusts him with another good show for the Gunners who shared the spoils in a four-goal thriller at Crystal Palace.

Stephen Odey [FC Zürich]

Eight goals in all competitions and still counting. Odey accounted for an assist and netted a sumptuous goal in Zürich’s 3-2 defeat at St.Gallen.

Samuel Chukwueze [Villarreal B]

Chukwueze was menacing and dangerous for promotion hopefuls Villarreal B who edged Atletico Bellaeres 2-1. His brace in the game showed he had a good day in office.

Isaac Success [Watford]

The skillful and mobile forward made life difficult for Huddersfield United defenders with his direct approach. He probed and ran through the channels. Success saw his effort rewarded with a goal in the rout.
