LMC Plans Next Sunday For NPFL Restart

Date:

League Management Company (LMC) has set plans in fast motion to ensure this season’s campaign in Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) resumes next Sunday, August 12.

This comes after the restart, initially set for July 18, after a long recess for the World Cup, was put on hold on account of the power tussle rocking Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

A top official has now disclosed on the sidelines of the NFF Extraordinary Congress, which held in Benin City last week, that the LMC already finalised that the season will resume at the coming weekend across the country.

The official stated: “If all things work as expected, the league should start next weekend as proposed by the LMC.

“We have informed stakeholders as the date has been approved, let’s just hope things normalise before next week.”
