One time coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Henry Nwosu has warned that the current set shouldn’t lose focus because nothing has been achieved despite picking the ticket to play at the 2019 CAF U17 Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
Nwosu said that victory in the Zonal qualifiers in Nigeri will help condition the team but the boys shouldn’t be lost in the demand of getting themselves fully focused on achieving success which Nigeria is known for at the U17 level.
“The lads have done well with qualification for the 2019 U17 Cup of Nations. It’s one step in their future tasks,” the former Nigeria international told Footballlive.ng.
“After the opening day loss to Burkina Faso not many people gave them the chance to go all the way.”
“With success achieved, I think they should show humility and understand that nothing has been done. The lads shouldn’t play under pressure if they want to get to the destination point.”
“The ultimate is the Cup of Nations. Nigeria is well known for performing very well at the cadet level. We have what it takes to go all the way,” he concluded.
