Rave of the moment at Sporting Charleroi of Belgium, Victor Osimhen has confessed that he has a strong dream of getting to play for Real Madrid of Spain at a point in his career.
Now that the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer has finally found his range at club level, following a rush of goals since joining Charleroi on loan from VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Osimhen is relishing the luxury of dreaming big.
Consequently, the soft-spoken youngster, who struck two late goals to give his team victory against one of the club’s that rejected him in the summer, Zulte-Warregem last weekend, says Los Blancos is his big hope.
The 19 year-old is emerging as a major star in Belgium, after scoring five goals and producing two assists in the first seven games of the season.
Charleroi’s coach, Felice Mazzu describes Osimhen as a rough diamond, adding: “He’s fast, big and powerful, he has a good head and a good technique, he’s a complete player.”
Wolfsburg are already making moves to call him back from his loan spell in Belgium, but Osimhen is thnking well beyond The Wolves, who also once had two other senior Nigerian strikers, Jonathan Akpoborie and Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins on their cards.
Osimhen declared: “The club of my dreams is Real Madrid. If God wants, I will play there one day because in football everything is possible.”
